Bro, Larry writes:
It has been extremely exciting to have a part
in what God is doing with Turning Heart Ministries.
It is a joy to work with a church and see many
lives freshly surrendered to Him.
Some of the challenges presented during the conferences
are deeply penetrating and heart rending, yet,
they are non-confrontational even though the main
points call the people back to God with all of
their hearts and for church leaders to give the
church back to Jesus’ control.
Much of the conflict in churches stems around
God’s people having unintentionally possessed
a part of His church as their own. Often church
leaders, out of love for the church, have mistakenly
viewed themselves as responsible to produce results
which only God can do. This has caused many saints
to walk in defeat while serving with all that
is within them. It is such a great joy to watch
God release His people and refocus their hearts
upon Jesus Christ our Lord. It seems I am the
one ministered to as much as the persons who have
come to be a part of each conference.
Equally as exciting is the ministry the book
has had in jails and prisons. God has set many
inmates free from all types of bondages and habits.
Many have released deep rooted anger and have
learned how to forgive by applying the Biblical
principles taught in the workbook. The opportunities
my wife and I have had to speak in the prisons
are very dear to us. As long as our Lord provides
the funds we will continue to give the books to
inmates for free.
I am deeply indebted to the brothers and sisters
of Trinity Baptist Association for allowing me
to do the twelve conferences each year. I feel
this ministry is an extension of their ministry.
Only our Lord knows how many have been blessed
and encouraged by the work they sacrificially
support.
receive correspondences from people every week,
and sometimes several in one day, sharing how
God has worked through the workbook. I pray our
Lord will continue to meet every need and call
more of us to reach out in His name. I ask that
all who read this message to lift this ministry
and myself up in prayer.
