Every pastor and layperson should work through this
study.
I have known Bro. Larry White for several years. I
have always respected him and known him to be a man
who has a tremendous heart for God. Returning For Personal
Revival has the anointing of the Holy Spirit of God
upon it. I have worked through other books and studies,
but I've never been touched as deeply as I have been
by this one. There is a new passion for God, and a new
joy in the ministry. In my preaching, there is a new
freedom and power that I've never experienced as consistently
as I am now.
God has undoubtedly raised up this man and this study
for just such a time as this. Every pastor and layperson
should work through this study. If done with an obedient
heart to God, there will be a new freedom in life and
ministry. Each one will find a new joy and freedom in
his or her Christian life as God touches his or her
heart through this study. There is no greater joy than
living life with the heart fully given to the Lord.

...revolutionize your life and ministry
Bro. Larry White has written some material on personal
revival that will revolutionize your life and ministry.
This material gets to the heart of revival which is
in the heart. The Holy Spirit is using this study to
set God's people free from bondage. It is theologically
sound and marvelously practical. Our Lord is using Bro.
Larry's preaching and teaching of this material to change
lives and to turn local churches back to the heart of
God. I can highly recommend Returning For Personal Revival.

What a concept!
If anyone is skeptical of "another" program, devotional,
or study for the church to incorporate into its shelves,
I am. One night at children's camp I overheard Bro.
Larry sharing with a fellow pastor the concepts of this
study. Initially, my first inner response was, "oh no...
not another one!" However, after having committed myself
to study for one week Returning For Personal Revival,
I came to the conviction by the end of that week, that
the insights, wisdom and discernment contained herein
are not of any man's accomplishment. Jesus himself said
that the first commandment is to "love the Lord your
God from your whole heart, soul, mind, and strength."
What a concept! To know that the intention and focus
of this study is simply to draw God's people to His
heart with the whole of who they are, is indeed refreshing!

This study... calls us away from ourselves
In Returning For Personal Revival Bro. Larry issues
the Biblical call to love the Lord our God with all
or our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. If any generation
needs to follow the great commandment our does. Bro.
Larry calls us away from ourselves and our own agendas
to a wholehearted devotion to Christ. Life is not about
us, it is about the King, our Lord Jesus. Its is only
about Him. The church's biggest problem today is that
our eyes and hearts are on the wrong persons, "ourselves."
They should be on Christ. If you are looking for practical
help in dying to yourself and really following Christ,
this study is for you.

This book is being used by God to change lives
Here is a book that bears witness with my spirit. As
I began to read this book I immediately recognized that
God has His hand upon this material and its writer.
This book presents a clear call to return to Christ
and His Lordship for revival. I wish every believer
in America would read and apply the biblical principles
written herein. This book is being used by God to change
lives. It clearly reveals "how to return to God for
revival." It is my opinion that anyone seeking a closer
walk with God would benefit greatly by studying Returning
For Personal Revival.

Practical, Personal, and Biblical
I have known Larry White for about eighteen years.
In those years I have watched him mature from a distance.
I know him to be a man you can depend upon. If you want
written materials to speak to you on a deep level, you
must read the works of broken men. Returning For Personal
Revival is from the heart of such a man. You will find
this material to be practical, personal, and biblical.
It will richly bless your life.

...closer walk with Jesus
Dear Bro. White,
Some weeks ago your study Returning For Personal Revival
"fell" into my husband’s hands. Being curious by nature,
I looked it over, and immediately knew that the message
contained was God Sent to me in direct answer to prayer.
For years I’ve sensed the need in my life for a closer
walk with Jesus. As a pastor’s wife, I would be frustrated
by where I "appeared" to be in my daily walk with God
and where I "knew" I was. When I finally got to the
end of myself --sick to death of me-- I asked God to
do whatever necessary to bring me to that personal,
joyful walk that was promised to me but seemed so elusive.
Over the years, since I’ve experienced lots of highs
and some very deep lows--but never could seem to understand
how "to abide" in Jesus on a day by say basis (much
less moment by moment). I knew something was missing,
something I felt was "my due" as a Christian but I could
never seem to find the "on" switch--very frustrating!
Of course, God heard the longing of my heart and set
me on a course of prayer and Bible study—He brought
tapes on "abiding" into my life -- but still I could
never manage to hold out -- by the end of the day (or
sometimes hour) I was back to being "me" and I felt
Jesus was no-where in sight. Then --God dropped your
little workbook into my lap and nothing has been the
same -- Suddenly the Holy Spirit made it all so clear
(not always easy but clear) and I knew for the first
time in my Christian walk why I was so empty and frustrated--Too
much of me and very little of Him. I’ve only begun in
your book (week three) but God is powerfully moving
in my life. At least, now I have the KEY— I may, heaven
forbid, move away from Him at times, but now I know
how to move back!! I appreciate the way you share personal
experiences — I too am dealing with anger--which when
turned inward left depression. How much are the workbooks?
I’d like to buy two more.
A pastor’s wife,
Kay

This book is different
Bro. Larry,
Greetings from Hot Springs, Ark. I have been studying
your book Returning For Personal Revival. I struggle
as I work each day with the thoughts "boy I wish so-and-so
could read this, but God is not dealing with Him, He
is dealing with me. Two years ago my prayer partner
and I came together to pray for what we saw as "our
churches lack of Spirituality." Now doesn’t that sound
holy? How God must have laughed at us. He did not go
to work on them, but He did go to work on me. They were
not the problem. He has led us both down a very painful
road. I have been through most all of the life courses
(Experiencing God, Disciple Prayer Life, Mind of Christ,
ect.). But I was not changed. Bro. Larry you did not
place this book into my hands, my heavenly Father did.
Oh how I thank Him. This book is different, it causes
pain, but a good pain, a pain that turns us away from
sin and toward Jesus.
Thank you so much
Rhonda.

This has radically changed my whole life...
Mr. Larry White,
I am a bi-vocational pastor of a small country-like
church in the city, and at best our harvest field tends
to be gospel hardened. Yes, there is much, much work
to be done, but so very, very few ever respond to the
call of the gospel. I have pastored for over five years,
was assistant pastor for four years prior to pastoring
and in all have been a church member in this area for
now over 18 years. For the last 18 years, we have seen
fundamental churches in area decline, move, and even
close. Up till two weeks ago... I was past empty, dead...
all that I have touched for the last 18 years seems
to have died... and at the most I know that the Lord
has planted the seed... and I am trusting Him to give
the increase... but as far as fruit I have not been
able to see little if any fruit. I would like to spend
more time in the future giving more detail to the process
that led to this point in my life. Let me summarize
by saying that I was dead, dead, dead.
Two weeks ago, as usual I was in my office on Sunday
morning praying through the sermon, bible study, and
reviewing all my notes. At 9:00 am I left the office,
and went home to pick up my wife and four children,
and when I returned to church I noticed that someone
had placed a copy of your book on my desk. At first
glance, I decided to speed read through the material
with the intent of using it in discipleship training.
Brother, I didn't make it through the first week, when
the Lord convicted my heart that I needed to pour my
heart into this study and into the process of really
know Him.
From the first day I started through the material the
Lord convicted me to write all of the verses that were
not documented and start a list of those verses He desired
me to memorize. I am presently on week three of the
material... and the LORD has done a wonderful work in
my life!!!! I cannot begin to tell you of the peace
that has flooded my heart, the hope the Lord has given
me in the midst of a dry and difficult harvest field,
the joy that is unspeakable full of glory!!!
Brother... this has radically changed my whole life...
I too was guilty of making the work of the Lord the
center of my life, instead the Lord of the work!!!!
Oh, my heart is desperately wicked!!!! I had tricked
myself into thinking that I was okay...at best I thought
I was just serving in the wrong church or in the wrong
capacity. I have asked the Lord to forgive me for allowing
this to continue and for teaching others to do the same!!!
For the last three years the Lord has been showing
me that one of the reasons our churches are struggling
is mainly due to poor equipping, but in the last two
weeks the Lord has shown me the root of our poor equipping
originates from the heart. Let me ask you, brother:
Could it be that verbally we have the right message
but our actions convey a completely different message?
I mean, could it be that our words are right in that
we repeatedly stress "turn your eyes to Jesus. He is
the only Way, He is the Way, the Truth, the Life"....
but in reality our actions are placing more emphasis
on the work of the Lord more so than the Lord of the
work?????
Please understand that I am still looking for the Lord
to hammer this all out in my heart and life, but I really
believe this could be the case. Our members are following
my actions more so than my words, and in essence we
are turning out people who are following their teachers
and.... looking more so to the work of the Lord, then
the Lord of the work!!! I believe this has been the
case in my life and ministry!!! The Lord... our Master...
is using the work He has so wonderfully worked through
you... to direct my heart back to His Throne of Grace....
for this I am eternally grateful to Jesus and to you
His servant for sharing this with me. Jesus is Wonderful!!!
